Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC.
